THE PROVERBS - BIO
The Proverbs is an award-winning contemporary southern gospel vocal group, currently comprised of husband and wife Dave and Kathy Daw and their youngest daughter Natasha. The Proverbs began in 1967 and is somewhat unique in that Natasha was born with Down Syndrome. The group is presently touring in support of their latest two (2018) Summit Sound releases, "Good Things", and "Home For Christmas" which are their 26th and 27th full-length album projects.
"Good Things" and the Proverbs previous album, "Say Amen", were both nominated as, "Best Album of the Year" by GMA Canada in their annual "Covenant Awards", with 7 tracks from these albums certified at No. 1 on the US based, "Radio Music Top 100". The Proverbs were also recently declared the “Most-played Artist of the Year” by the "Radio Music Group".
The Proverbs have been voted "Canada’s Top Mixed Gospel Group" more than a dozen times by CGMA, and have also shared the stage with many of the top US gospel artists who are regularly featured on the popular Gaither Homecoming video series.
The members of the Proverbs are dedicated to sharing their personal faith through live musical performances that feature their trade-mark vocal harmonies backed by music from their many albums; complimented by state-of-the-art, sound, lighting and synchronized video, and presented in a contemporary family-friendly multi-media package.
The Proverbs are available for church-concert and community outreach events with fees typically based on expenses plus an offering or other pre-determined honorarium.
